Embracing Autumn in Copake

/

From humid afternoons spent by our swim pond to relaxing vacations with friends, our summer was fulfilling in many ways. And as the seasons shift into fall, the energy in our community becomes rearranged. The transition to crisp evenings, cooking soups with winter squash from our gardens, and the beginning of festival season bring us so much joy in Camphill Village.

Each year, Camphill communities across the world look forward to our Michaelmas Day festival on September 29th, when we feast on autumn pies after enjoying a new performance depicting the taming of our inner dragons by the Archangel Michael. While the messages these performances convey are sincere, the costumes and drama always incite entertained gasps and giggles from our audiences. We do hope our friends near and far are enjoying this splendid autumn season.
