Camphill Village USA is a unique and vibrant life-sharing community of 250 individuals, including over 100 adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in Copake, New York in 1961, Camphill Village USA is the oldest and largest Camphill community in North America and sits on 615 acres of verdant hills, pastures, and beautiful gardens in southern Columbia County. Camphill Village is part of the international Camphill Movement, which is based on the insights of anthroposophy, the philosophy, world view, and spiritual path of Rudolf Steiner Ph.D. Life at Camphill Village is based on the active affirmation of the dignity, spiritual integrity, and valued contribution of each individual.

Healing Plant Garden Featured in Garden Conservancy's 2012 Directory
For the first time, our Healing Plant Garden has been featured as a public garden in The Garden Conservancy's 2012 Directory! From June 2 to September 30, the garden will be open to the public for self-guided 
tours on Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00-5:00 p.m. As always, guests are welcome to schedule a full tour of the Village on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. by calling (518) 329-4851. Hope you will take a weekend day and visit us this summer!
Camphill Village Has Openings for New AmeriCorps Volunteers!
Camphill Village currently has several openings for AmeriCorps volunteers. We have vacancies between now and June, and will have even more vacancies after July and beyond. We are a member of the Educational Awards Program, which will award $5,550 toward present or future educational loans to any individual completing one year in the program.
